Meet Hannah

Hello there, I’m Hannah. I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based among the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Charlottesville, Virginia. I believe we all have a purpose on this earth, and mine is to preserve stories. After shooting my first wedding, I finally heard my calling. This is what I was meant to do. When I’m not shooting weddings or portraits, you can probably find me hollowing out a jar of Nutella, examining maps, pondering the universe or accumulating a menagerie of plants for my bedroom.

Although based in Charlottesville, photography has taken me to many parts of the world and has left me with an insatiable travel bug. I am inspired by unfamiliar environments and being a conscientious observer, I always find myself fascinated by what I discover and experience in new places.. That being said, my bags are packed and I’d love to head out on a road trip and come your way. I welcome all people with love and an open heart just as I welcome an open road.

What kind of equipment to you use?
I currently use a 5D mark III, 35 mm Sigma Art (hands down favorite lens of all time, it is oh-so versatile), 20 mm Sigma, 85 Sigma, and a 50 mm Canon.
Do you travel?
Far and wide, people. Bags are packed, passport is ready. I'm based in Charlottesville, but am always willing to head out for a road trip.
What do you charge?
Head on over to the contact page and send me some more details about your wedding day or portrait session idea and we can chat pricing!
Do engagement sessions come with a wedding booking?
Absolutely! Each wedding booking comes with a complimentary engagement session. It's extremely important for me to get to know my couples, and vice versa, before the big day. Time spent together prior to the wedding will allow me to tailor how I photograph your day to tell your story more authentically.
Are you licensed and insured?
You bet!
How do you classify your style?
I classify my work as an accurate representation of each human's experience. I honor the way each of my client's wishes their story to be told. That is absolute end goal for me. As far as aesthetics in my work goes, I incorporate soft tones, golden-golds, and film-like dramatic black + whites
How long does it take to receive my wedding gallery?
Typically, delivery of gallery will take between 4-6 weeks. I'm quite a perfectionist when it comes to providing my best possible work for my clients, so I deliver as soon as I can but not until I'm happy with the quality of the final product.
Do you offer albums or prints?
Albums and prints can be added a la carte with any package.
How far out should I book my wedding?
I don’t book more than a year out, typically, but let’s get your date on the calendar ASAP!
How do I book with you?
Easy! Drop me a note and we'll chat what option is the best for preserving your story. A 50% deposit and a signed agreement are necessary to secure your wedding day and a $100 deposit and a signed agreement are necessary to secure a portrait session. I absolutely can't wait to meet you!
